Dear Scholastic: I will gladly edit the books for you if you want to re-release the series. My fee is a free copy of each book as they come out. Sincerely, Ashley :)

I used to pick up on those things too, as a child. I can think of a specific time when I re-read a page over and over and over again (seriously, I read the same two pages of baby-sitter's on board, like, 10 times) just to be sure that *I* wasn't misreading the fact that margo was missing, but vanessa was going with two groups (I think. the mistake isn't in the ebooks and it's been awhile). Anyway, between that and a few other weird mistakes, I wondered why ann m martin (because i didn't know how books were made, obviously) never looked over her finished manuscript.

Also, wasn't Ann an editor before she became a writer? And if she wasn't actually writing the books, was she editing the finished manuscripts? I don't think I would have hired her for my college paper.

Um, sorry Ann! It's totally not your fault. You were just very busy. I know. A book a month and all. I wish Scholastic would have not thought children wouldn't notice. Because we did.

It's really amazing to me how much better we are at catching these mistakes, and we're not getting paid. PLUS, I was reading the new cover version of this book, which means that this was a second edition at the very least and they didn't fix it.

Yes, thank you! I totally used to pick up on both of those things! I was so naive when I was little and I thought that surely an actual publishing house wouldn't make a *gasp* mistake, so the Richard thing especially, just confused the hell out of me.
