A couple of ppl ahead of us had Kristy's Great Idea and she signed it even though authors are technically only meant to sign the books they are giving away. I was one of the last to come up and meet her and told her I grew up on the BSC books, owned them all and had brought the first and last book for her to sign. She didn't seemed standoffish at all. She thought it was great, and even in signing one of the books joked about me being an "old" BSC fan. I'd hate to think that she's ashamed of the BSC books. Sure some are better than others but they helped me enjoy reading as a kid. It's probably quite annoying if she's trying to move in other directions and people constantly bring up the BSC, but I don't think it's quite right to be standoffish about it or anything.
